The main objectives of the "Chain of Kindness" charity campaign are connected to another social initiative – "Charity Instead of Souvenirs". The team of Katren Foundation collected various handicrafts that were made by children from orphanages throughout Russia, and partners, including Egis Russia, bought, and presented them to their employees instead of ordinary souvenirs. All donations were spent for purchasing New Year's gifts for children from orphanages.
In addition to the financial support, Egis Russia also organized the New Year event "Chain of Kindness" in its Moscow office. The holiday brought together children from orphanages as well as the children of the company's employees of different ages, from 3 to 15 years old. They had fun at the paper disco, tried their hand at creating Christmas tree decorations, took part in the shooting and creation of a real video clip and, of course, received long-awaited New Year gifts.
"We are convinced that, along with the financial support, children in orphanages need help in socialization. Every child wants to be needed and appreciated. Thanks to such kind of initiatives, children were able to discover new talents, feel how great it is when others appreciate your talents and skills. In our opinion, real corporate charity should be just like that." said Elena Bershadskaya, PR manager of Egis Russia. "
The Annual Program "The Best Social Projects of Russia" was founded in 2012, in support of the Russian Federation's Government course on strengthening social policy based on partnership between the state, society, and private business. Each year, leading companies, foundations, and state organizations take part in the project, and help promote social issues by doing so.
