The Egis eco-marathon is among the winners of the Program «Best ESG Projects of Russia» in the category «Best ESG Business Practices». The project aims to raise awareness of the problem of environmental pollution, promote responsible lifestyles among employees and their families, and work together to ensure a sustainable future.

The corporate marathon, organized in the summer 2023, lasted six weeks and gathered 190 participants from 45 cities in Russia. The goal of the marathon was to raise environmental awareness and motivate employees to contribute personally to environmental protection. Participants analyzed their lifestyles, developed personal strategies to reduce waste, learned to deal with recycled materials and created eco-friendly menus. During the marathon, the company’s employees shared products with those in need through the charity fund, provided support to the needy and gave a second life to things that could be in a landfill. For a month and a half employees managed to hold 75 clean-up days, 554 times to hand over recyclable materials to local eco-centers, 102 times to send organic waste to composting.

Egis is one of the active supporters of the concept of sustainable development and ESG-agenda. The ecomarathon was preceded by the introduction of the Eco-Policy and the Environmental Management System (EMS).

In 2023 «Egis eco-marathon» was recognized as one of the best projects of the company and the team received a prestigious corporate award "Above the line". The project was also included in the shortlist of the bema prize in the nomination «Corporate social responsibility: the best ESG-project».
